MEET THE BAND:
Jennell Eve – (Vocalist) Jennell Eve had started singing and performing at a very young age in the church choir. She began solo work at the age of 9. She has studied professionally with Dr. Dale Reith, Kristen Jones, Linda Shepherd, Paula Pierpoint, Sheen Track Records, Melissa Lowery, Bryan Phoebus, Carrie Phipps Banfi, and Peter and Jennifer Jones. Born and raised in Stuart Florida, Jennell attended Indian River State College on a full music scholarship. There, she studied Jazz, Classical, Pop, Motown, R&B, Choral, and Country. Jennell grew up in the theatre, performing shows with Shiloh Theatrical Productions, Starstruck, CBPH Productions, etc. You might have seen her at The Lyric Theatre, The Barn Theater, Jupiter Matlz Theater, Pineapple Playhouse, doing numerous shows. Her most memorable roles, ‘Aida’ in the musical Aida, ‘Woman 2’ in Song For A New World, and ‘Rusty’ in Footloose. Jennell has also had the pleasure of performing all around the treasure coast at many of the local fair’s as a solo artist; they include The South Florida Fair, The Martin County Fair, The St Lucie County Fair, and The Country Colgate Showdown. In 2009, Jennell was a contestant in American Idol, Season 9. Jennell also got the pleasure to be a part of several rounds of America’s Got Talent in 2010. Since graduating, Jennell has been active in Random Play for about two years, traveling from Fort. Pierce Inlet, all the way to The Coconut Creek Casino. She is an aspiring artist and plans to grow and expand in her craft. Her love is the stage, it is her gift and she intends to share it with the world!
Ed Berrios – (Guitar) Ed Berrios is a Jupiter, FL resident since 2002, and a Florida resident since 1975. Ed is very well known in the local musical community. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, he has been playing professionally in a variety of rock/pop, social and show bands for nearly four decades, Ed had shared the stage with several rock icons (Chubby Checker, The Belmonts, and Little Anthony & the Imperials) during his tenure in the vocal group Reparata and the Delrons back in NY. He has worked with several local and professional quality acts as a hired guitarist. Ed is a former corporate executive and a dedicated musician.
Roderick Kohn-(Guitar) Roderick Kohn has been a Recording/Performance Artist for 30 years having done a wide variety of work with both national and regional artists. He has done extensive touring and recording /production with the following; Studio work with: Cameo, Mercer Ellington, Duran Duran, Nile Rodgers, Steel Pulse, Julian Lennon, Semi Precious Weapons, TNT, Ruben Blades, Kid Rock, Teo Macero, The Melvins and Skeleton Key. Kohn has performed with; Phillis Hyman, Members of Prince’s band Members of Sly and the Family Stone’s band, Doug Pinnick of King’s X,Billy Preston, Bruce Willis, Jeff Golub, Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Patti Labelle, Juma Sultan, Omar Hakim, Zakk Wylde. Roderick has toured with; Zhane ,Buddy Miles Express, TM Stevens, Stir Fried ,Gerardo Valez of Hendrix”s Band at Woodstock, Spyro Gyra & Chic. Kohn also wrote; The Extreme Theme and several entrance tunes for various wrestlers for ECW, theme to the North American Music Awards.
Steve Riedel- (Drums) Steve began taking drum lessons at age 6. Riedel graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston. Riedel has also played in many other bands over the past 30 years, including The Misbehavin’ band (Charlotte, NC) which toured high end clubs and venues from Florida to Virginia for 10 years. He used a Roland TD-20 kit with Missbehavin’. A few of the other bands Steve has played with are, Sapphire Kings, Danny and the Americans (toured Florida), Sol Fed Joe (Denver, CO), Crazy Chester, Hillbilly Hellcats (Denver, CO) just to name a few. Riedel has been a freelance fill-in drummer for many years, often jumping in with little to no preparation. He is well adapting and has played in just about every type of situation, from bars to formal weddings. His current stage set-up consists of a 4 piece Pearl Masters Studio Birch kit, Paiste, Zildjian and Sabian cymbals, a Roland SPD-SX percussion pad/sampler, 2 Roland trigger pads and a Roland KT-10 kick trigger. Steve uses DW and Pearl hardware and Vic Firth sticks. He is currently in the band Random Play, based in Jupiter FL for 3+ years. Random play is now dance-variety band with a funky side. Random play is currently playing everywhere from clubs, weddings and casinos.
